Classic Paris Engagement Shoot with the proposal at the Eiffel Tower, the bridge Alexandre III & the Louvre

I had the pleasure of capturing Taylor & Andy’s engagement in mid-July, just after the Bastille Day (July 14th). It was a great luck to find the Trocadero square free of any barriers or constructions! Locals know that it’s often closed two weeks in advance for the fireworks festivities.

The proposal happened shortly after the photo session began, and Andy executed it flawlessly! I had made sure he was well briefed on the plan 😉 Once the stress was released (such a moment!), we spent about an hour at the Trocadero, capturing the Eiffel Tower from every possible angle.

Our journey then took us to one of Paris’s most iconic spots: the Alexandre III Bridge. Despite the bright sun, the early hour of around 7 am meant we had the bridge practically to ourselves, which made for some stunning shots!

We even had a chance to pose in front of the gorgeous Golden door at Petit Palais! It’s a museum’s door actually, so we had to be there before tourists start to make the line for entering.

Afterwards, we took a moment to cool down in a nearby café. Not that we needed warming up in July! the temperatures can get as high as 42C (107F) in the afternoon… That’s why we have to finish summer photo sessions before 10am: later it becomes too hot.

Finally, we wrapped up the session at the Louvre, with the famous Glass Pyramid providing a fitting backdrop for the culmination of Taylor & Andy’s engagement shoot!
